Wheelie originated from Wielrenfiets Amsterdam , where we initially focused on renting out cycling bikes in the Amsterdam area. In response to the strong demand from customers seeking to buy bicycles, we expanded our services and thus, Wheelie was started!

Beast from the East — Rolf Meijer, aged 26, hails from Doetinchem and pursued studies in Nijmegen.
After completing my degree in Business Economics, I made the leap to Amsterdam. Growing up, my love for sports revolved around football, but over time, I developed a passion for various activities like mountain hiking, diving, and surfing.
My journey into cycling began in the Achterhoek, where explorations through the Montferland woods with my father and brother sparked my interest. Since 2017, I've called Amsterdam home, where I've come to appreciate the simple joy of cycling. What I love most is the ability to reach charming old villages like Broek in Waterland or Volendam within just half an hour of cycling. For me, cycling embodies a sense of freedom unlike any other.
Heart Rate Zone 6 — Thijs Bogerd, born in 1994, originates from Leiden and pursued studies in Amsterdam. Following his degree in Fiscal Economics, he became a permanent resident of Amsterdam, embodying the quintessential 'import Amsterdammer' spirit. His cycling journey began as an alternative to public transportation, with the Rondje Ringvaart route offering not just convenience from Amsterdam to Leiden but also immense enjoyment. The road bike opened doors to mountain biking, unveiling thrilling new landscapes and challenging paths.
Thijs relishes exploring new territories and pushing his limits on the bike. He finds joy in the diverse ways people embrace cycling, whether it's training for (half) Ironman events or leisurely rides with friends on Sunday mornings.
The Diesel — Chris Meijer, aged 33, originates from Doetinchem and pursued studies at Arnhem and Nijmegen University of Applied Sciences.
My cycling journey began in the era of 26-inch mountain bike wheels. A few years later, road cycling captured my interest. I find immense joy in staying active while immersing myself in nature's beauty. Speed is exhilarating, whether it's on a mountain or road bike. It brings focus and a sense of clarity, allowing me to momentarily forget about life's distractions. However, cycling isn't always about speed.
I equally cherish leisurely rides with friends and family, relishing each moment spent on the bike.
